A highly unusual weather phenomenon startled visitors and wildlife experts in Everglades National Park earlier today, when dozens of frogs were seen falling from the sky during a heavy afternoon storm. The bizarre event occurred over a marshy stretch of the park, where dark storm clouds gathered and rainfall intensified, creating dramatic conditions across the wetlands.
According to park rangers on site, the incident likely resulted from a powerful updraft linked to a localized thunderstorm system. Such vortices are known—though extremely rare—to lift small animals like frogs, fish, or insects into the air before depositing them elsewhere.
