A 49-year-old Norwegian man named Tykjen says Elon Musk’s Grok AI saved his life after an ER doctor misdiagnosed his severe abdominal pain as acid reflux and sent him home.
Still in excruciating pain, he described his symptoms to Grok, which flagged a possible perforated ulcer or atypical appendicitis and urged him to demand a CT scan.
When he returned to the hospital, doctors found an inflamed appendix that was close to rupturing and removed it within hours.
Tyken later admitted he didn’t tell doctors Grok guided his decision, saying he feared they would dismiss an AI’s advice.
